"Unplanned biopsy"

About: County Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a service user),

I turned up at county hospital for a chat to discuss my ultra sound early September as I have a thick womb I was denied access to a female and not offered alternative time then talked in to a pipel biopsy, the term biopsy was not used. I was not offered any pain relief, told I could only have pain relief if it was to painful, then told if I needed a hysteroscopy it would be delayed if I wanted it under GA. Just what I need if I have cancer. I have several complaint points.

1- I was denied accesses to a female, a care assistant is not a chaperone. I should of had my husband present why did you just carry on?

2- I turned up to discus my results and was told that on the phone and at no point was told to take anything like pain killers like ibro/para. Why did you just carry on?

3- Pain relief like gas should be there, apparently they need to be trained in air ways, so why not then train them. I know you think its not needed but it really really really is.

4- to summarise no informed consent, no female, no pain relief. I'm writing this because you probably think you gave me good treatment you did not. You did what you wanted, I couldn't tolerate it, why do you think I left it this long, because this destroys trust.
