About: Omagh Primary Care Complex / Urgent Care and Treatment Centre

(as a parent/guardian),

Today my daughter was heading to start the year at university in Belfast and had to meet the landlord in the evening.

She had been suffering with a throat infection/tonsillitis for a few days. Normal remedies hadn't worked and she has no GP in Belfast. We contacted Out of Hours at 1.30pm but at 3.30pm there was still no call back.

We decided to attend Urgent Care at OHPCC to ask how much longer she had to wait as she was leaving Omagh at 5pm. The receptionist was a nice lady and I explained our situation. She explained they were busy and couldn't give me a time but said she would see what she could do. A lovely ANP triaged my daughter and confirmed an infection that needed antibiotics.  Luckily the hospital had them in stock and we didn't have to race across Omagh before the pharmacy closed.  My daughter and I were very grateful to the staff for their help and understanding.

My daughter made it to Belfast on time and medicated. She is settling in with one less worry to manage. Thank you so much to the Urgent Care staff at OHPCC today.
