"The whole team is exceptionally brilliant"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / West of Scotland Major Trauma Ward (ward 1c)

(as the patient),

Hi I just want to say i spent 17 days in ICU and major trauma ward 1c .Every single one of the staff even down to the cleaners were absolutely brilliant. All introduced themselves to me and nothing was a problem for any of them. I had heard so many bad things about the place and none of it was true. The care they gave me was second to none and i feel i made a quicker recovery because of it. The staff that stood out for me were Francesca, Monica (ICU) Carol, Tina (in trauma ward 1c) to name but a few but they were absolutely amazing. So keep up the the good work in the hospital as i think the whole team is exceptionally brilliant. Many thanks. Also mention accident and emergency team were excellent and probably saved my life with everything they done when I arrived at hospital.so I would just like to say what a brilliant team and a big massive thank you from me.

Dear Jimn8n

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your incredible story. We’re truly moved by your kind words and so pleased to hear that your experience across ICU, Major Trauma Ward 1C, and our A&E team left such a positive impression during what must have been an extremely difficult time.

Your message is a powerful reminder of the dedication, compassion, and professionalism our teams strive to deliver every day — from clinical staff to cleaners, all of whom play a vital role in patient care. It’s wonderful to hear that everyone introduced themselves, made you feel at ease, and helped support your recovery.

We’ll be sure to pass on your thanks to Francesca, Monica, Carol, and Tina — as well as the ICU, Ward 1C, and A&E teams. Your words will mean the world to them.

Thank you again for your heartfelt message and for recognising the whole team. We wish you continued strength and good health in your recovery.

Kind regards

Kevin
