"The staff were always so enthusiastic"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Assisted Conception Services

(as a service user),

I had treatment at ACS for PGT IVF. This involved one round of treatment, two embryo transfers and extremely fortunately for us, two babies.

From the start of our journey, we were always treated with dignity and respect. The nurses and doctors were always extremely professional, kind and caring and we were always put at ease in what is a very vulnerable situation.

For the second transfer, I was juggling managing appointments with having two young children (which is an extremely privilege in this environment). The staff were always supportive and did what they could to ensure this was manageable. At times of worry including early bleeding I was always offered prompt and supportive appointments to assess this. The staff were always so enthusiastic when I had a positive result and clearly genuinely cared for their patients, the results and also the emotional impact of all of the treatment.

I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to all of the staff for their hard work and kindness

Dear Judjs93,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. It is truly heart-warming to read your story and to know that our team were able to support you through such a significant journey.

We understand how vulnerable and emotional this process can feel, and it means a great deal to hear that you felt treated with dignity, respect, and kindness throughout. I am especially glad that you felt supported during those worrying moments, as well as reassured when managing the challenges of appointments alongside caring for your young children.

The whole team will be delighted to know that their professionalism, compassion and encouragement made a difference to you and your family. To hear of the safe arrival of two little ones is just wonderful news, and we all wish you and your family every happiness together.

Thank you once again for your kind words — they are greatly appreciated by us all.

With warmest wishes,

Nikki
