"Went for a skin check, questioned about my diabetes"

About: Solihull Hospital / Dermatology

(as the patient),

I had been referred to have a skin scab looked at as it was growing, I had photos done and it came back to have it removed to do a check to see what it could be.

I had others so was referred to another staff member but when they saw me they were not interested in the skin scabs but to berate me about being diabetic. Im type 2 and its all come about as I had depression, over eating with a psoriasis problem I had.

I now am on tablets for that which has saved my life. But they needed to inform me that I'm to young to be on them, and should still be having children. I'm mid 40s!

The appointment was just them going on about my diabetes and they needed to see my bloods, tell me how I should lose weight, what food to eat and just berate me. I came out of the appointment feeling horrible and very low.

I then had the pleasure of them doing the operation to removed the skin to be looked at only to to met with asking where are my bloods and how they will struggle closing the wound as I have big legs.

I'm glad I will never have to see this staff member again, as I will never go to any appointment that they involved with.

This person is not my diabetic Dr nor my Dermatologist Dr so why they had to get involved I had no idea.
