"Mental health/Communication between services"

About: Leverndale Hospital / Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit - Ward 1 Leverndale Hospital / Mental Health

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter tried to kill herself. She was taken to the RAH and was told a bed was waiting for her at MHAU in Leverndale.

She went over there and was treated poorly and they did not admit her she then got aggressive and they locked her outside at 2am in the morning and then called the police on her. Even though she said she would do it again and she did literally 2 days later. Luckily she is alive but still issues with mental health services.

I had already put complaint into HSCP to try and resolve issues as she was discharged from her CMHT and not told.

Dear virgogs87

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns regarding your daughter’s recent experience with our mental health services. I would like to begin by expressing my sincere sympathy—this must have been an extremely distressing time for both your daughter and your family.

The account you have provided raises serious concerns, and we would welcome the opportunity to discuss these further. Can you please contact my colleague, Lynsey Hecht, Service Manager, on 0141 211 6626. (Please note that we would require your daughter’s consent to discuss any aspects of her clinical care).

Thank you

Nicole
