"Their guidance and support has been invaluable"

About: Community Services (Adult Physical Health) / Specialist Epilepsy Service

(as a relative),

For 27 years my husband had no seizures. When he started having regular seizures over the couple of years we had no support really from gp or hospitals.

Epilepsy is so frightening for both the patient (fortunately they don't remember whats happening during a seizure), and their family and loved ones and it can leave you feeling helpless and unsure what to do once they're discharged from hospital.

This is where the RDaSH Specialist Epilepsy Service stepped in when new medication was introduced they have been a god send to us.

Organising all medication and dosage schedules a for us to follow and regular telephone check ups how to see how he is adjusting to his new medication. They are only a phone call away if we need any reassurance or have and questions. Their guidance and support has been invaluable and we cannot thank them enough. Special mention to Katie and Bev who are very knowledgeable and reassuring and are a credit to the organisation.

Thank you so much

Thank you for taking the the time to tell the Epilepsy team about your experience.

We are privileged to have had a positive impact on your lives at a time of distress and uncertainty following seizures.

We are always a call away when you need us.

Thanks

Bev- Clinical lead
