"All the facilitators are brilliant"

About: CGL Birmingham / Health & Wellbeing Hub

(as a service user),

Hello!

After years and years of alcohol addictions and hurting so many friends and family the time came to reach out and seek help.

My doctor mentioned CGL. I was very nervous and anxious before starting the course, but was amazed how inviting, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating everyone was, made me feel welcomed and part of the course.

The meds helped massively (obvs) but the talking sessions and information given was brilliant and the interaction between the group and facilitators was superb. All the facilitators are brilliant.

I feel so positive, motivated and ready for a new life without booze

Dear statusft37

Thank you for sharing your feedback and reflections.

My name is Lydia and I am responsible for listening and responding to feedback about our support.

It’s incredibly powerful to hear that after years of alcohol addiction and the pain it caused to your friends and family, you found the courage to reach out for help. That decision takes real strength, and I want to commend you for pushing through your initial anxiety and stepping into something new.

I’m so glad to hear that you felt welcomed and supported, and that both the medication and the group sessions have made a real difference. Your kind words about the facilitators and the group interaction are truly appreciated, and I’ve shared your feedback with the team.

It’s inspiring to hear how positive and motivated you feel now, and I want to wish you all the very best for your future. Your new sense of hope and determination is something to be proud of and I am sure your loved ones are incredibly proud of you too.

Thank you once again and take care of yourself.

Lydia
