The referral from GP to ultrasound appointment was over 4 months wait.
Appointment itself was within 20 minutes of appointment time. The male radiographer did a great job of putting my shy neurodivergent teenage daughter at ease with clear descriptions, instructions and lovely caring attitude. They took the time to ensure things were understood and gave space for questions/queries. The additional nurse/HCA was also lovely and friendly.
Both staff were efficient and professional whilst managing to make her feel relaxed and safe (discussing gynae issues with a male stranger can be difficult for girls) and that they had time to do what they could for her. Something that must be difficult with such stretch resources within the NHS as a whole. Wonderful first experience for a young girl who had not had an ultrasound before.
Was told the report would be done immediately after the scan and sent digitally to the GP. Within hour of getting home the GP had sent a text saying results were in and to book a follow up appointment. Amazing!
