Having a smear test and getting letter saying I need to go for a colposcopy and we all do in this day and age look what things are.. that's when panic set in.
As I got to the ward my anxiety was getting a lot worse, I was shouted for my height, weight and BMI, I was then shouted though by Fola, this where Harry asked me questions and then also explained each detail for reason I was there what will happen and if need a LLETZ .
I then went though to where was doing the colposcopy, I was shown where to put my bits that was blanket to put over my self, Harry explained what he was going to do , they had a new machine and Harry caught something which made us all giggle , they said need to do a biopsy, you get to see everything on screen but as they doing biopsy this was moved away. Susan was stood talking me while having this treatment and helped so much she a credit to the team.
Fola was so friendly and caring , after they took biopsy Emma then explain about next 4 days , how long take for my results, Emma is also a credit to the team , I have been though a fair a lot in my life and for me I was made feel like I was very important to them and that I was not just a patient, thank you for a good experience in the hospital
So a massive thank you to Harry, Fola , Susan and Emma😃
"Amazing support at my colposcopy"
