"Nothing was a problem, such great care"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / 3 South Craigavon Area Hospital / Theatres Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department Southern Health & Social Care Trust / Urgent Care Centre (Phone First)

(as the patient),

Contacted GPOOH regarding concerns of my physical health.

Dr returned call, observations and information was taken.  advised to go to DHH. After blood tests and examination I was admitted to 3 south CAH. From the  minute I entered the ward the staff were unbelievable. So attentive, caring and each staff member was empathic. Constant observations, pain relief was always attended to promptly. I then had to go to emergency surgery on my second night. Honestly the surgeon, 2  anaesthetists and several nurses were so reassuring and helped contain my anxiousness. Recovery was a pleasant experience also, staff constantly checking and carrying out wound care. I can not thank all health professional for their kindness during my stay on the ward. There was a particular health care assistant who is currently awaiting his registration PIN to become a qualified nurse. This gentleman will be an asset to any ward throughout the remainder of his career.
Thank you to the SHSCT staff for everything you all done to help me. Under staffing and bed pressures nothing was a problem and I commend these staff.
