"They were so informative and caring"

About: Maternity care (wards 68, 72 &73) / Labour suite The Princess Royal Maternity Unit (Glasgow)

(as the patient),

The birth of my baby came after a long 3 days stay in hospital while waiting on a space in the labour ward. Although frustrating, all the staff in ward 73 were amazing and could not have provided me with better care and compassion. 

My experience in the labour ward was exceptional and I would like to give a special mention to the 3 midwives who looked after me during my labour, Georgia, Cara and Eirrin. They were so informative and caring which eased a lot of a my anxiety about having a vbac. I couldn’t have asked for better care for me and my baby.

Out of all 3 of my births, this was by far the most special which I believe is down to the care and support of the midwives mentioned above. Please pass on my thanks.

Dear DJohn,

Congratulations on your new baby's arrival. I sincerely apologies for the wait you had to be moved to the labour ward. I understand how annoying it is, and we are now investigating methods to make the induction procedure better. Nevertheless, I'm thrilled to learn that the employees were considerate and friendly the entire time.

I appreciate you showcasing your labour ward midwives. I'll let Georgia, Cara, and Eirrin know what you think. It's obvious that they helped you feel less anxious by giving you sympathetic, individualised care.

I want to thank you again for taking the time to share this, as such positive comments can have a significant impact on the team.
