Unfortunately I attended the Early pregnancy unit where I found out I had a missed miscarriage. From the second this was discovered I couldn’t fault the staff.
I was promptly given a date for surgery. Attended ward 43 where a nurse called Dianne competed my admission and looked after me all night, she was so kind, caring and compassionate. As was every single staff member I met. From housekeeping to surgeon. Everyone was so kind.
The nurse in charge in theatre, Nicola, and the other nursing staff were so kind and put me at ease whilst in theatre and the surgeon, Mr Browne, was very gentle and safety seen me through the surgery. The anaesthetic team explained everything and put me at ease making me feel very safe.
From a very sad reason for admission I had genuinely say I had a great experience and stay in Altnagelvin. Thank you to all the staff, I believe they deserve so much more than they get.
"Kind, caring and compassionate"
