"I now feel I understand my condition"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Therapies

(as the patient),

On the second visit, after doing hand exercises for a month, hand grip had strengthened considerably. Also the questionnaire showed improvement in everyday living. This was very encouraging.

Advice was given on continuing to exercise, how to manage the condition - tips on how to deal with any particular difficulties - and what equipment is available to make life easier. Attention was aimed at my particular needs.

I now feel I understand my condition and know how, in practice, to make the best of it now and in the future. This is so much better than wondering what on earth to do about it!

Thank you, Andrew. My GP said you would be very helpful and he was right!

Dear Flame lily,

My name is Karen and I am the hand therapy lead here at North Devon District Hospital.

Thank you so much for providing feedback regarding your hand therapy treatment.

I am really pleased you have found your treatment sessions with Andrew beneficial, and feel that you now understand, and are much better able to manage your condition.

It's also great to hear that your grip strength and function have also improved.

I will be sure to pass on your feedback on to Andrew.
