I was waiting to attend a health professional for a pre-surgical consultation for gallbladder removal surgery.
I received a call from Natalie who works in reception to advise me that they had availability for the pre-surgical assessment- she was so kind and friendly on the phone and answered any queries with efficiently and care.
I attended Ward 41B for the pre-surgical consultation - everyone in reception were friendly and couldn’t have been nicer!
A nurse called Justin started the tests and acquired other information needed (height etc). He was friendly, cordial and patient- this put my worries to ease.
I had my assessment with a nurse called Carmel. Carmel went through the assessment promptly and with precision. She made sure that all the information she had on the system were correct (previous surgeries, existing diagnoses, current medication etc). She talked me through the surgery, benefits and risks again briefly, answered any queries I had perfectly and I left my assessment more content in the fact that I know exactly what will happen from here, and that I was in good hands. Thank you!
"Fantastic staff, kind, caring and well organised"
