"Everything has been of the highest calibre"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / National Treatment Centre Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Orthopaedic Ward B23

(as the patient),

I had my first total knee replacement in October 2024, and have just had my second one. From my pre-op to surgery and aftercare, everything has been of the highest calibre. The surgical team have done an amazing job and kept me informed at every point in the process. The surgeon, Mr Porter, even came in on Saturday, his day off just to see how we were all doing. Ward staff, including nurses, cleaners and catering were fantastic, and all done with patience and a sense of humour. How they do it is amazing. Have so much to be grateful for in this whole experience.

Dear Bill24,

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback on your experience when you had your knee replacement in the National Treatment Centre. I am very fortunate to lead such a dedicated and caring nursing workforce and it is wonderful to hear you encountered this.

The whole team are very patient centred and I am delighted this was your experience.

I will pass on your kind and lovely comments to the whole team.

I wish you well in your ongoing recovery.
