"Rude level of service"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Neurosurgery (Ward 64 – 66)

(as a relative),

I approached the nurse station on ward 65 Queen Elizabeth Hospital Glasgow one evening late August 2025. My father was in for an operation, he has a Zimmer at home to get around as his mobility is extremely poor and often falls. I approached the nurse station to ask if I could speak to the lead nurse that was on for duty tonight and was met with a very abrupt response from a staff member. They began to quiz me why my father needed this equipment as he had a stick. I tried to explain his situation but felt they had no time for me and was very dismissive. Eventually I turned away and saw another staff member pulling a face. I feel this is a ridiculous service.

They were not busy at this point and were standing gossiping. It made me extremely anxious going back to the ward when there are members of staff have no time for you and rude, even though we were only seeking a bit of advice.
