"Fine visit, but some communication seems missing"

About: Peterborough City Hospital Peterborough City Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as a service user),

I approached the desk. I wanted support and advice before being taken to my appointment. I was met by what appeared to be senior member of staff even though badge not clear. They seemed uninterested in what I was there for and more concerned about the demand on the person sat behind the desk. I am the patient? If I approached the desk I would appreciate being spoken to.

I was referred to a volunteer to take me to my appointment. This is fine they were very pleasant yet, I wanted to ask some personal questions about the hospital before going to the appointment. Where is the time for me to be listened to. The hospital was busy. In a bad way in fact but my request was going to fairly simple. Sadly there wasn’t time given for the question to be taken seriously. Their responses I feel are not not personalised from - The Patient Experience team - as a patient I would like to have a name for me to write to?  Who is the patient experience team please?

And if the hospital is about the patient why are responses templated.

My visit was fine. I was seen to in good time and treated well by my consultant yet sadly, it appears the hospital is very busy and simple communication and some thoughtfulness is being missed.
