"Thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts"

About: Maternity care / Maternity Ward Maternity care / Midwife Led Unit Maternity care / Observation Led Unit

(as a service user),

My daughter was due in to be induced to have her baby and was welcomed very warmly by the midwife Faye and was put at ease and kept very informed of what was going to happen and at what times these things would happen, the care and compassion from the midwives Faye and Amelia were exceptional and to myself her mother. I was glad that my daughter was taken care of by such caring people, I was also able to stay over with my daughter for the nights she had to stay in and was made to feel very comfortable at all times and helped when needed as I have fibromyalgia and was on crutches, these ladies are angels and are brilliant at their jobs I can’t thank them enough.

When she was transferred to the labour ward a lovely midwife named Emma was with her the entire time and looked after her very well and had my daughter and unborn baby’s well being watched and cared for exceptionally well, she also is an angel and did her job very well and professionally sat there the whole day and she was pregnant herself. I want to thank her very much for doing a brilliant job, thank you and thank you all to the doctors and surgeons and all staff involved when she had to taken to theatre to have a forceps delivery, everything was well explained and my daughter was looked after very well and I want to say a very grateful.

Thank you to the young guy (think his name was Michael) that wheeled me along to theatre in a chair as I had my crutches and had to be quick, and thank you so much to all the observation team and midwives who helped my daughter after she had the baby as I needed to go home that night to rest as those hospital chair beds are very uncomfortable but that was nothing compared to the exceptional work and care and compassion that all these people do for many women to bring life into this world and make it as comfortable as can be, a very big well done and great appreciation to you all thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts 💙☺️

HI Lionsmain47.

Congratulations on the birth of your grandchild. It is such an exciting time. I want to thank you for showing your thanks and appreciation to the team. I will ensure I share all of your kind words with the staff mentioned.

The Induction suite has been a very welcomed and successful addition to our service ensuring that women who are undergoing Induction of labour have a dedicated pathway and team. The team continually work hard to develop and grow the service to meet the needs of the women in which they serve and will be extremely grateful for your recognition of that.

One to one care from a midwife in labour is so key to enabling women to make informed choices, feel supported and safe. I know Emma will be pleased to hear your feedback.

Michael is one of our Health care support workers who are such invaluable members of our team. How kind of you to show your appreciation.

Our dedicated maternity theatre team work closely with the medical team, anaesthetist to ensure safe transfer, thank you for acknowledging their work and contribution.

My very best wishes to you and your family
