"The staff were exceptional"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics University Hospital Hairmyres / Day Surgery

(as a parent/guardian),

Son had fracture requiring ankle surgery which took place at Hairmyres. The staff were exceptional, very thorough, attentive, reassuring, caring and worked well as a team despite being very busy. The fracture took place in Dunfermline where the care was also excellent and in between Ortho trauma liaison nurses have been really helpful and informative. Thanks to all.

Dear Worried woman

Thank you for taking the time to share yoiur feedback regarding the care your son received following his fractured ankle. I will share your comments with the day surgery team who will be pleased to read that staff were caring and provided reassurance.

It sounds like your son has had a difficult time as a fractured ankle is a painful injury. A worrying time for you as a parent.

Best wishes to you both and kind regards

Lise
