"A fantastic experience and wonderful staff"

About: Stratton Community Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit MIU

(as a service user),

I was silly enough to injure my eye in the garden and went to the walk-in hospital in Stratton, Cornwall.

The staff were very friendly and made me feel at ease straight away. First impressions the hospital looked very clean and well looked after.

The receptionist was very friendly and professional.

There was a short wait before the lovely nurse called me in to take a few details and then back out to the waiting room. I didn't have to wait much longer, but that's ok as there was plenty to entertain me as other people waiting had good stories to tell.

After about 30-45 minutes I was called back in by another lovely nurse who told me to lie down while she checked my eye. She talked me through everything she was going to do and numbed my eye before hand, just a scratch and she sent me on my way with some antibiotic cream.

All in all considering the circumstances it was a fantastic experience. I can't say enough how wonderful all the staff were, thank you.
