About: McKillop Gardens

(as a relative),

I would like to thank the Care Team at McKillop Gardens for all the ongoing care and support given to my mum who has been resident there for the last 6 years. I would also like to thank them for the comfort that they give me knowing that my mum is so well looked after. 

What I find remarkable is how well, not only the care team, but the other service providers (chefs, cleaning team, management team, reception etc) get to know each service user and tailor the care and approach taking into account their individual personalities, likes and dislikes. 

Time is spent with the service users and tailored activity plans are made to both stimulate and entertain the service users. I am particularly impressed with the varied range of that entertainment. I feel one of the main effects of this is that the service users spend more time in circulation with both the staff and the other service users.   Your loved ones are never alone and in familiar company even when you are not there which is very comforting. 

My mum feels safe, happy and looks forward to each day and what that brings. 

Thank you to the whole team at Mckillop Gardens. I don’t think you will ever know how truly grateful I am.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the care at McKillop Gardens.

It is lovely to hear that your mother looks forward to and enjoys the company and the entertainment and activities so much. We do recognise the importance of meaningful and stimulating activities and are pleased to be able to provide a good range of activities.

It is reassuring that you acknowledge the whole team approach, as every role is important and teamwork is vital to the effective running of the unit and ultimately the health and wellbeing of the Service Users.

I am delighted to hear that you take comfort in the personalised care that your mother receives and will gladly share your kind review with the teams at McKillop Gardens.

Dear Delighted Daughter,

Firstly, thank you for allowing the us to have the privilege of caring for your Mum. It is always an honour when people choose us to look after their nearest and dearest. I know the team you describe and I am so pleased that you and your mum's experiences have been so positive. The team work hard each and every day to make very moment count. Having you take time out of your busy day to write this review means a lot. I will of course share this message and add my own thanks for their ongoing dedication and expert care.
