"This is a wonderful service"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Rapid Access Respiratory Service

(as a relative),

My father is in his late 70s and recently attended the Rapid Access Respiratory Service in Craigavon.

He came away absolutely delighted with the treatment he received- he has struggled with COPD and recurrent chest infections for a number of years, which had worn him down. He found Dr McKeegan very easy to talk to and very understanding, and she gave him lots of advice on managing his condition, and reassessed his medication.

All the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly- nothing was too much bother for them. He has come away feeling much more positive about his condition and treatment, with a much better understanding of how to manage things himself, and suggestions of things he can do to deal with specific issues that were troubling him.

This is a wonderful service- we are so pleased that he is able to avail of it.

Please pass on our appreciation to the entire team- Colette, Dr Mckeegan, Chris & Diane.

Dear soilqw95 - thank you so much for taking the time to provide this feedback relating to your father's care in the Rapid Access Respiratory Service in Craigavon Hospital.

I have shared your story with the team and they are delighted to read your kind words and are very appreciative of such positive feedback.

It is great to read that your father is now feeling more positive about his condition and that he has a better understanding of how to manage his COPD on an ongoing basis. This will, no doubt, be very helpful for him in the days ahead,

I hope your father is keeping well now

With best wishes

Christine Armstrong
