I’ve had the same community midwife with both my pregnancies - with my first and with my second.
During my first pregnancy there were issues that as a first time parent I didn’t realise were issues. For example, I mentioned numerous times to my midwife about how I was exhausted & feeling ill, informed that’s just pregnancy - went to triage and turns out I was anaemic & needed to be commenced on iron therapy. Next I had my fundal height measured at 30+5weeks, I measured 32 - which was off the centile chart - there was then no growth at 32 weeks when rechecked - fundal height remained 32. I wasn’t referred for a growth scan which now I’d of advocated for, however as a first time mum you put your faith in those handling your care. I had scan booked but was this was just to check placenta placement as it was lying low at 20 weeks scan.
Now during my second pregnancy, my ferritin was low therefore I was commenced on iron therapy x3 times a week - this was to be rechecked - which I’ve had x3 attempts for, the first sample wasn’t sent on time - labs stated too old and couldn’t process, second sample haemolysed and couldn’t be processed & the third sample I feel will be the same as bottles weren’t inverted pre bagging them.
My hb had dropped from significantly in the space of 8 days.Baby had prolonged accelerations in HR up to 175 at most recent antenatal appointment - midwife did listen in for a minute or two and HR came down to 150, however no documentation of this on badger? If it’s not documented it didn’t happen - last documentation has many spelling mistakes also?
Fundal height was measured at most recent antenatal appointment and measurement has gone from 50th centile to 97th centile - again not referred for growth scan - told this is normal as I'm tall - I phoned FV to query this as nothing was plotted on my chart on badger & arranged they have arranged a growth scan in the coming weeks followed by consultant appointment.
When checking my pulse compared to baby’s Doppler - always stating mine good at 60bpm - my resting heart rate is very rarely below 90, especially at the moment during pregnancy.
As an already anxious person who struggled with post-partum anxiety I feel that I have little to no faith in mine or my baby’s care from my community midwife. I’d like to discuss things further if possible.
