Referred to the Same Day Emergency clinic by GP. My GP thought that I was in cardiac failure. He also thought that I had long Covid.
When I got to the unit, the nursing staff were caring, and made me comfortable. They then took blood from me. they checked my blood glucose as I was a diabetic.
The advanced practitioner, Angela, checked my heart and respiratory system. Then was sent for a chest x-ray.. The Consultant Nephrologist came to see and advised that I needed prescription of a tablet to reduce the unwanted fluid from my system.
Considering there were only two staff to the unit, they were noticeably organised and in between doing procedures on other patients they would pop back and forth to ensure that care and consideration was ongoing for all patients,
