"Outstanding care received"

About: Emergency Department / E-Triage

(as a parent/guardian),

About 2 weeks ago I attended University hospital Monklands A and E department with my daughter who suffered a broken arm. Once we were checked in (the self check in is quite time consuming and hard to do under stress and when you are on your own with a child in an emergency situation). However after this we were seen very quickly.

Dr Green and Dr Gautham were the doctors who attended to my daughter. The care my daughter received was outstanding. They gave her pain relief and got her more comfortable before examining her. All the while they chatted with her and made such an effort to make her comfortable and make the whole thing less traumatic for her. A plan was put in place and everything was explained to us step by step. Jamie and Diane also and attended to put her plaster on and they were great. We can't thank all of the staff enough who were involved in looking after our daughter.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on your recent experience attending the Emergency Department.

Firstly, I hope your daughter is now ok and recovering well. I appreciate how this would have been an anxious time for you both.

I am really pleased to hear of the outstanding care you received, and that you were reassured by the Team. I will make sure your comments are passed to them directly; they will very much appreciate receiving these.

Thanks again.

Angela
