My wonderful Dad was sadly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2023, he remained quite well for a year after diagnosis which is highly unusual with this type of cancer, as a family we will always be eternally grateful for this year, wonderful times were spent making memories.
Dads health began to fail and he quickly needed round the clock nursing care which couldn't be provided at home and was admitted to Ellen's Glen House in February 2025. The care and compassion Dad was shown by the Senior Charge Nurse and her team of amazing nurses and clinical support workers was nothing short of incredible and made Dads last few weeks much easier for him and us as a family. My Mum, brother and I spent the last 6 days of Dad's life living with him at Ellen's Glen and the support and care we received as a family by the entire team made a horrifically painful situation that bit more bearable. There are no words that can adequately describe or thanks and gratitude to this wonderful place and its incredible team.
"No words that can adequately describe our thanks"
