I became unwell and very jaundiced and lethargic. I was seen promptly by my GP who referred me to the Jaundice Clinic in Ninewells. I was called to attend the clinic 2 days after referral and was seen by Nurse Jan and a Doctor.
They were both very kind and professional. I was then contacted later that day to attend Acute Medical Unit to be admitted as there were no beds in Ward 2 where I would be transferred to. The staff were all fantastic, however disappointingly the cleanliness of the toilets and ward floor were poor. I was transferred to Ward 2 the following day and was pleasantly surprised by the standard of cleanliness.
All the Nursing staff from Students to Charge Nurses were outstanding. They were all kind and helpful. The Consultant Dr Miller was extremely professional, kind and helpful and took the time to discuss my care and treatment with me and my wife, which was all explained in great detail.
For what was a very worrying time for me and my family, I was made to feel more reassured and supported by the Medical and Nursing team.
A huge thank you to you all!
