"Care and Compassion"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

My son attended the Emergency Department (ED) following a biking accident at Glentress.

The care he received was excellent from the moment he came into the department until discharge.

Caitlin triaged him and was kind and compassionate.  Dr Jeffrey assessed and treated him and was friendly, professional and made him feel less anxious.

Sandra the ward clerkess made us both feel very welcome and were offered refreshments within a timely manner.

There is so much negativity regarding the NHS and ED departments with long waits, however this hasn’t been our experience and we can’t thank the staff enough for the care they provided to my son.  They are all a credit to the health service.
