"NHS ayrshire and Arran home birth team"

I recently had my second home birth with my fourth child, and was supported by the fantastic Ayrshire and Arran home birth team both times. 

I chose home birth after some negative experiences with the hospital births and interventions. It was the best decision I could have made. Both times I was supported throughout my pregnancies and births by the fabulous Laura who made me feel so at ease and empowered to make my own choices about my birth and my baby. I was able to birth my babies without pain relief which was my choice and had such positive experiences at home.

All my appointments were at home, I had acupuncture and massage therapy. And all my aftercare was at home following the birth I seen a midwife on day 1,2,3,5 and 10 postpartum. Every single member of the team I met was kind and thorough. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt I could put my trust in the team. We are blessed to have such a supportive service in Ayrshire and Arran and I would encourage any woman considering home birth to get in touch with the team.
