I was diagnosed with a tongue cancer May 2023 and was fortunate enough to have been consulted and operated on by Mr Sadiq. There was a delay between diagnosis and treatment, partly because of theatre time and also consultants strikes, that meant it was difficult to liaise with more than one consultant at a time, which was needed for my treatment, so as to design and arrange surgery. Mr Sadiq pushed all concerned and managed to get me started on my treatment ie first operation in Sept 2023, with radiotherapy commencing Jan 2024.
I never had the opportunity to thank Mr Sadiq, as he left the Medway H&N dept, before i could express my gratitude for basically, saving my life.
If you get to read this Mr Sadiq, I would like to thank you for all that you did for me, along with your great staff and co workers at St Vics and Maidstone hospital Oncology and Radiotherapy, Not to forget speech therapy. This thanks also comes from my wife, children and grandchildren. Please never forget that you change many lives with your actions and i will be forever be grateful. As a singer, i am back doing what I love and raising monies for Macmillan & Maidstone Hospital> My way of saying Thank You xx
