"Billy Jo getting bloods"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Out Patients Department

(as the patient),

Due to ongoing cancer treatment, I attend monthly blood tests and I would like to recognise the incredible support shown by the team. Their care and compassion go far beyond simply taking blood — they make you feel human because they genuinely care.

This week, while working from home, I was seen by Billy Jo (I hope I’ve spelt her name correctly), who made me feel completely relaxed and comfortable. The NHS’s goal of caring for people is truly reflected here. The whole team she works alongside are of the same outstanding standard, and my visits have become something I genuinely look forward to each month.

Although the appointment lasts only around ten minutes, the experience is invaluable — I feel this time should even be extended. Hats off to this department for the remarkable work they do.
