Recently was in for a procedure and wanted to pass on my thanks to the staff of the day procedure unit. Couldn’t have been better looked after. From the reception staff, to the nurses and person who did my Procedure.
Had the pleasure of having a student nurse Hannah with me who seemed to constantly be finding something to do or was helping with other patients. She was so positive about her experience working for day procedure, it was pleasant to hear. She chatted away to me, immediately introduced herself and asked permission to admit me annd follow along, explained what things were and why she was doing them like the little probe on my finger and I was able to watch my oxygen levels and she explained what she was looking for. I now know I don’t take deep enough breaths usually as my oxygen levels were lower than she liked until I did that and they came up immediately! Learn something new every day.
I didn’t catch the names of the other nurses involved with my care but they were all phenomenal and really knew what they were doing clearly. It was smoothly ran. It makes a difference knowing they go above and beyond for our care.
Thank you, to DPU for making a worrying experience a very positive one. And good luck, Hannah!
"Great care"
