"The ward and team are an absolute godsend!"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Clinical Haematology (Clinic P)

(as the patient),

I have recently been receiving chemotherapy treatment out of the New Victoria Hospital for the last 16 weeks. I have to say the ward and team are an absolute godsend! They are all so kind, so patient, so efficient with their care and they all know their stuff so well they are an incredibly specialised team. The speed at which you get seen, get meds from the pharmacy or have blood tests when required is just incredible. Beyond that, every single person on the team is so lovely to speak to and they help the time pass by quickly. It’s not a situation I liked being in, but they made it all so much better and more bearable.

The ward itself is also really lovely, so clean and nicely laid out and I loved getting to have a window to look out of during treatment. My only advice would be to bring a blanket cause it does get a little chilly.

Dear geminijy34

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of receiving chemotherapy treatment at the New Victoria Hospital. We are truly heartened to hear such kind words about the care you received from the team.

It means a great deal to know that our staff made a challenging time more manageable for you with their kindness, professionalism, and efficiency. We are incredibly proud of our specialised teams who work hard every day to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to every patient.

We’re also glad to hear that the ward environment contributed positively to your experience — a clean, comfortable space with a view can make a real difference during treatment. And thank you for the practical tip about bringing a blanket — it's a helpful reminder, and we’ll be sure to share that feedback with the team.

Wishing you all the very best in your continued recovery.

Kind regards

Kevin
