(as a relative),

My dad recently had lung cancer surgery carried out by Mr Beattie at the Royal Victoria Hospital. From the very beginning, Mr Beattie was outstanding – not only highly skilled but also so kind, reassuring, and supportive throughout a very difficult time for our family.

He took time to explain everything clearly, put my parents at ease, and treated them with such respect and compassion. The operation was a success and we are so grateful for the excellent care and attention given.

We cannot thank Mr Beattie and all of the thoracic team enough for their professionalism, expertise and kindness.

Thank you very much for taking the time to send lovely feedback to Mr Beattie and the Thoracic Team on the care your father received following lung cancer surgery.

It is lovely to learn your parents were well informed and put at ease by Mr Beattie during what is a very stressful time for both patients and their families.
