The department is marvellous, clean and welcoming. The staff are kind, friendly and very thorough and reassuring.
The major issue was that the staff are no longer able to offer a cup of tea to their elderly and frail patients after their procedure. They have been advised that this is due to COVID restrictions. As an experienced healthcare professional, working in infection prevention and control I think this to be baseless nonsense. I believe that this policy should be reviewed and the welfare of the frail patients seriously considered.
I believe, a hot, sweet beverage is far more suitable for this age group after a procedure than a plastic cup of chilled water.
