"Professional, caring and thorough"

About: Warrington Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I recently went to Warrington A&E with a suspected stroke. I was triaged within 15 minutes and in less than 4 hours I had had bloods done, CT scan on my head and chest x-ray!

I saw 2 doctors and was booked into the stroke unit at Whiston Hospital with an MRI booked for the following morning.  Every single person who I dealt with treated me with kindness and respect. The system may be broken but the staff are doing a brilliant job holding it together.

I went into the hospital frightened and apprehensive after after so many tales emerging from A&E about waiting times etc but I think one thing comes across is that when the overworked staff deal with you, they are professional, caring and thorough.
