I recently gave birth at the Lothian Birth Centre and had a wonderful experience. Everyone that I came into contact with was kind, warm and helpful. The environment was exactly as a birth centre should be - calm, relaxing. The midwife that was there to deliver my baby was amazing (I believe her name was Anna). She made me feel at ease and let trusted me to birth my baby without having to disturb or intervene. I felt safe at the birth centre and had such a positive experience. During my overnight stay in the ward, again it was so positive. Every staff member was amazing & so helpful. I had a number of amazing midwives assist me with breastfeeding and various staff helped members when I needed to go to the toilet or needing assistance in general.
"Such a positive experience"
