"Ward stay in children's ward"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Paediatric surgery ( Wards 3A & 3B)

(as a service user),

Today was our little girl’s final day in Ward 3B at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Glasgow. I’ve already shared a review of our previous care, but wanted to add how friendly and welcoming the environment was today—several staff really went out of their way.

Special thanks to Matilda, the domestic, and Sarah, the healthcare worker, who took time to play peekaboo and look at toys with our daughter. The man organising meals was kind and gentle, making sure every child was catered for and smiling.

And Ellie, the nurse, was so friendly and skilled that our daughter didn’t cry while getting a sore dressing changed,  and a great teacher for her student. She even gave Iggle Piggle and Bingo matching bandages!

Thank you all, the warm atmosphere on the ward is truly appreciated.

Hi Tibs

Thankyou for taking the time to leave your feedback.

I am sorry to hear your daughter required care with us in hospital and hope she now continues to make a good recovery at home

I am delighted to hear your experience within the ward was a positive one and the staff created a warm and friendly atmosphere

It means so much to our team to know they are making a positive difference to the children and families in our care and I will ensure this fantastic feedback is shared within the team

Many thanks

Donna Kearney
