"The face to face group was brilliant"

About: Community Services (Adult Physical Health) / Diabetes Specialist Nursing

(as the patient),

The face to face group were brilliant and everyone engaged to share stories and experiences. The 6 week course was an eye opener for the better.

This needs to be done in schools for all children to learn from an early age. I cant praise this course enough the staff delivering the course were so friendly and extremely knowledgeable. This has changed my out look on my health for the better.

Hi my name is Leander Parkinson and I am Team Lead for the Community Diabetes Specialist Nursing Service in Doncaster.

I wanted to thank you so much for taking the time to write these kind comments about the staff and the XPERT Type 2 Diabetes Structured Programme that we run. I'm so pleased that it has had a positive impact on your life.

I will be passing on this feedback to my colleague Laura who runs the programme and I will also pass this on to senior management within the trust and within the South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. As we are looking to promote the XPERT programme in Doncaster, we are looking for positive comments such as yours to be used in promotional work which we are going to be starting.

With many thanks

Leander Parkinson
