"Perimenopause Symptoms"

I have been struggling with several symptoms for the last 2 years. As I’m now in my 50s I suspected I was in perimenopause but having had a hysterectomy I was unsure as to what stage this was at.

My GP recommended I speak with a menopause specialist as I have several underlying conditions which meant not all HRT options were safe for me.

I was lucky enough to be referred to Dr Lata, a menopause specialist at the Highland Sexual Health Clinic. 

I cannot recommend this service & Dr Lata enough. 

She recommended a low does of topical oestrogen & monitored my progress with follow up calls. It has made a huge difference to my perimenopause symptoms particularly the anxiety, mood swings & hot flushes.

I feel back to my calm, rational self again & am so grateful my GP referred me to this service. 

I’d highly recommend the Highland Sexual Health team, particularly to those suffering menopause symptoms who have complex health conditions.
