I just got out after 4 days in PRI ward 4.
The doctors were great they kept me informed all along the way. The junior doctor and consultant who looked after me were just superb. I felt involved in the decisions, well not actually making them as I just accepted what they were saying, because they explained the situation. They explained what the scans could mean and possible ramifications.
The nurses were kind, helpful and caring. These women, I was only cared for by women, were great. They could not have cared for me, and supported me more during this difficult than they did.
Obviously it was a horrible experience, but these people did everything possible to mitigate it.
The care I experienced went beyond professionalism, it was truly caring for me as a person as well as a patient, and I am sure everyone they dealt with was treated the same.
