I had a gynae appointment and I attended Omagh for my 1:30 appointment to realise I had went to the wrong hospital. I went to outpatients, directed to woman’s health and directed again to day procedure.
It was here I met Roisin. She greeted me so nicely and looked up the system to confirm I had went to the wrong hospital. She let me know this in the nicest possible way but not just this she went 10 steps further and tried contacting the department in SWAH. I could not find my letter so I was of no help to her.
She made 4/5 calls with some long waits and pauses and recalled a few people. She sorted it out, she found out the right department, and found out here was an available appointment. As I had booked off work for this appointment I really wanted to be seen on this day. I thanked Roisin (long brown hair and yellow flowery lanyard just in case I’ve not remembered her name correctly) and set off from Omagh to go to Enniskillen without confirmation they would be happy to see me.
As I was leaving the car park my phone rang and it was Roisin informing me that SWAH would see me so not to be rushing and they knew I was on my way. She definitely went the extra mile for me and I couldn’t be more thankful.
The staff in Enniskillen were also lovely and seen me and I had my procedure completed and never felt like a burden or that I was stupid. I thank Rosin so much and also thank the staff at Enniskillen outpatients. (3 ladies and male consultant)
Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou.
