On Friday evening I took my young son to A&E due to him to being unwell. I was met with the loveliest girl at Reception, Kayleigh was her name. She was able to obtain my son’s information quickly and efficiently and ensured he would be seen as soon as possible. The waiting area was busy and loud with other people waiting and was causing my son distress due to him being so unwell, Kayleigh was able to take us through to a quieter area as she could see he was struggling with the noise. Thank you for being so kind and observant Kayleigh.
We were then seen by an amazing nurse named Louise, she was just incredible with my son. Despite him feeling so rubbish, she was able to make him smile and really went out her way to ensure he was okay. Even when we were taken through to the bay, she popped her head in to see how he was doing. It was a really busy night so it was lovely for her to check in on him.
We were then seen by a nurse named Kelly. She too was amazing with my son, she was extremely patient and even made him smile despite him feeling so poorly. She encouraged him to take his medicine despite him initially refusing meaning we could get him home.
Thanks again to all the amazing reception staff, nurses and doctors within A&E. Despite having such a difficult job, you still show the upmost kindness and compassion to not only the patient but to their worried families 😊
