"I did not feel confident in the support I was receiving"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / Community Midwifery Unit

(as the patient),

I had my community midwifery care through a staff member from the community midwife team at PRI. Unfortunately, I did not feel it was a positive experience. I felt the staff member did the least possible they could get away with when it came to mum's health and concerns. From not being curious when urine samples had red flags, to not answering questions or directing me to where to find answers, to not promptly giving test results meaning I had to chase (connected with anaemia). They seemed to also imply they weren't 'medical' and that the GP would need to be involved if it was 'anything medical', which I find very odd and if that's the case, why did they have responsibilities for doing medical tests and interpreting results? Concerning. I did not feel confident in the support I was receiving.
