"Forever be grateful for the time spent with us"

(as a service user),

I had visits and support from a wonderful, kind and compassionate health visitor, Diane. I have struggled with mental health since the birth of my daughter. I instantly felt comfortable discussing how I felt with Diane. It was the first time I’ve felt a health professional truly cares about me and took the time to listen and actively seek out support services for me, she has really restored my faith in the usefulness of health visits and did not feel like a tick box in the slightest.

She actively took an interest to get to know me and my daughter, I really enjoyed our visits. I’m sad that she was only temporarily placed with me but I’ll forever be grateful for the time she spent with me and my daughter. I’m pleased to know that there is truly wonderful health visitors who want the best for you. She always followed up in checking out, advice etc.

It is so important that a trusting and therapeutic relationship is built between mums and Health Visitors and in your experience this sounds a perfect example.
