Stayed on ward 16 in June & although I didn't stay overnight I felt like I wasn't given much care at all, it was a relief to leave late evening !!!! Now I have just had an overnight stay on ward 16a & this is a different story, from arriving at planned time of 11-00am everything was explained to me in great detail, I was taken to my room & measured YES!!!! measured for my stockings ( didn't do that on ward 16 I even had to ask for them minuets before my surgery) then Doctors & Nurses in & out updating me all day.after returning to my room after surgery I was very well looked after. The following morning I was again visited by consultants & had everything they had done explained to me & how to look after my self for next few weeks to help with my recovery. A lovely male nurse came to take my nose packs out again he explained everything that he was going to do & he was sooo gentle. I was discharged about 9-30am & I can honestly say it was a pleasure to stay on ward 16a with such caring professional people. Thank you to everyone involved in my stay.
"Happy with both my stays on wards 16 & 16a 6..."
