"You will all be forever in my heart"

About: Cardiology / Coronary Care Unit Cardiology / Ward 1 - Cardiology

(as the patient),

Writing this is very emotional as I never expected to be writing anything whatsoever 2 weeks ago….after collapsing in my local medical centre I was thankfully rushed to Ninewells hospital….my magnesium levels had dropped to critical levels and my defibrillator had fired 18 times….didn’t think I was going to make it!

Thanks to the unbelievable care and commitment by the staff in CCU and ward 1 I’m able to return to my family ! Words alone couldn’t really express my gratitude to those involved in my care ! I’ll be forever grateful ❤️

So to Lisa, Donny, Ashley, Stacey, Kara, Gary the porter and all those names I can’t remember in CCU, thank you 🙏 ❤️…not forgetting Dr Anglim-and writing as a heterosexual man-was the best looking Dr I’ve ever seen in my life lol

And to ward 1 …Denise-who I watched persevere with a lovely cheeky but stubborn elderly patient for 30 minutes to get him safely into bed with the patience of a saint …to wee Demi, Cunday, Rebecca, Brianna the T lady and all those who tried endlessly to get blood from me …Elena. Stephan…Mike with the best toast and once again all those whose names I’ve forgotten in Ward 1 …not forgetting the renal team!

You will all be forever in my heart ❤️

Made friendships with patients whose support and humour I’ll never forget!
