"Friendly and helpful staff"

About: District Nursing / Hythe and Waterside Hythe Hospital / Outpatients

(as the patient),

I attended Hythe hospital from July 2024 until July 2025. I went once a week to the leg ulcer clinic, to be seen by Monika, an excellent and kind nurse. I will actually miss seeing Monika now my weekly visits have stopped. She was always friendly and always asked about my family and husband, who sadly died recently. Her expertise and knowledge of leg ulcers resulted in my bilateral leg ulcers being healed. Hythe hospital is an excellent hospital, very clean and modern with everyone working there being friendly and helpful, especially the ladies at the reception desk and the lady that ran the charity coffee shop.

I am very proud of my team and their diligence towards being both professional and respectful when supporting people in their own homes and in our specialist clinics, whilst providing individualised, holistic care.

It is always much appreciated by both the Trust and our employees, when patients or carers who have had a positive experience and take the time to express this in writing. All feedback is recorded to enable us to offer a balanced report that we can draw learning from regarding the patient’s experience of our services.
