I recently went into for a physical exam to check my weight and medical history as I am a patient with severe mental health and underweight due to disordered eating.
Whilst I've always been someone whose had a poor immune system - I believe a staff member that I saw has gotten me sick. I don't believe on purpose but it's still neglectful. They said whilst on holiday they believes they got a virus that has been making them very hungry and crave sugar + was very sniffly when we were having this appointment.
Now I'm both freezing cold and have a small fever, I have a headache, loss of appetite which is risky to me as someone whose underweight And overall feel sickly and in pain from tight muscles. I don't believe it was malicious but if a staff member is at risk of spreading a possible virus of sickness to patients I believe they should wear a mask (they weren't) or someone else takes over the appointment.
